Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: July 16, 2026
This policy explains how Taranis Scaling collects, uses, discloses, and retains information when you visit our website, submit an application, book a meeting, communicate with us, or authorize us to work with an advertising account.
1. Scope
This policy applies to Taranis Scaling's public website and related business activities, including pre-call audits, appointment scheduling, paid advertising, lead generation, conversion support, reporting, and service delivery. Third-party websites and services have their own privacy practices.
2. Information we collect
- Application and contact information: your name, business name, website, email address, phone number, service area, monthly revenue range, lead-intake process, pain points, and any notes you choose to provide.
- Attribution and request information: the landing-page URL, referring page, UTM campaign values, Google or Meta click identifiers, IP address, user-agent string, submission time, and a generated lead identifier.
- Website interaction information: events such as call-to-action clicks, form starts and submissions, calendar redirects, and thank-you-page visits that are sent to the site's data layer for measurement.
- Scheduling and communication information: meeting status and details made available through Google Calendar, plus information you provide when communicating with Taranis through a public business profile or another agreed channel.
- Advertising-platform information: when a client authorizes access, information made available by Google or Meta may include business and ad-account identifiers, permissions, campaign and creative settings, and performance or reporting data. The Meta developer app currently named Taranis MCP Read Only is used for authorized business advertising reporting and campaign operations.
3. How we use information
- Review a prospect's website, offer, tracking readiness, and lead-intake process before a call.
- Respond to inquiries, arrange appointments, and match a submitted lead with a calendar booking where possible.
- Plan, create, manage, measure, and report on authorized Google and Meta advertising and lead-generation work.
- Understand which pages, campaigns, and calls to action contribute to inquiries and booked meetings.
- Deliver services, maintain business records, troubleshoot systems, prevent abuse, and protect the website and its users.
- Meet legal obligations, enforce agreements, and establish or defend legal rights when necessary.
4. Cookies and advertising measurement
The website loads Google Tag Manager. The tags configured through that service may use cookies, pixels, local storage, or similar technologies for analytics, attribution, and advertising measurement. These tags may involve Google or Meta services when configured. The exact cookies and identifiers can vary as measurement settings change.
The current form-submission event can place the generated lead identifier, submitted business website, and selected monthly revenue range in the site's measurement data layer. Which of those event details are sent to a measurement provider depends on the tags active in Google Tag Manager at that time.
You can limit or remove cookies through your browser settings and use the privacy or advertising controls offered by Google, Meta, and your device. Blocking these technologies may reduce measurement accuracy or affect parts of the site.
5. Service providers and disclosures
Information may be handled by providers that support the purposes described in this policy, including:
- Google, including Google Tag Manager, Apps Script, Sheets, Calendar, and authorized advertising services. Google Sheets currently serves as the website's lead ledger.
- Meta, including Facebook, Instagram, Meta advertising, and related business or developer tools when Taranis is authorized to use them.
- Netlify, which hosts the website and runs its server-side request handling.
- Communication platforms you use to contact us and internal service tools used to manage an inquiry or client engagement.
- Professional advisers, contractors, authorities, or other parties when reasonably necessary to deliver authorized work, comply with law, protect rights or safety, or complete a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
Some providers may process information outside Canada. Information processed in another country may be available to courts, law-enforcement agencies, or regulators under that country's laws.
6. Retention
Taranis does not apply one fixed retention period to every record. We retain information for as long as it is reasonably needed for the inquiry or service, attribution and reporting, security, recordkeeping, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. Information may remain longer in backups or with an independent provider where deletion is not immediately possible or the provider has its own lawful retention duties.
7. Security
Taranis uses administrative and technical measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or loss. No website, transmission method, or storage system is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
8. Your Canadian privacy rights
Subject to applicable law and permitted exceptions, you may ask to access personal information Taranis holds about you, learn how it has been used or disclosed, correct inaccurate information, withdraw consent for future uses, or request deletion. Taranis may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Some information may be retained where required or permitted by law or where needed to complete an existing contractual obligation.
You may also raise a concern with the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada where that regulator has jurisdiction.
Official guidance is available from the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
9. Data-deletion requests
Instructions for requesting deletion of website, lead, scheduling, communication, or authorized advertising-platform information are available on our Data Deletion page.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our website, providers, or services change. The effective and last-updated date at the top identifies the current version.
